Welcome!

First off, welcome to the game! This short guide will get you on your way to becoming a great hero. This guide won't cover everything in the game, you can check out other guides for that.

Equipping Items

Some skills require certain items to be equipped; such as a [Small Net] for Fishing, a [Pickaxe] for Mining or a [Hatchet] for Woodcutting.

For this guide, we'll be making a [Bronze Bar]. The first thing you're going to need to do is equip a [Pickaxe] so that you can mine some [Copper Ore] and [Tin Ore]. On the game screen, look for the   Inventory button in the upper-right corner and click it. Your inventory should now pop-up in the middle of your screen. Look for Main-hand and click on it; you should now see a few items listed. Click the button on the same line as your [Pickaxe] to equip it.

Congratulations, you just equipped your first item! You're now ready to begin Mining some ores and gaining experience!

Obtaining Materials

Click the   Skill List button on the left-hand side of the screen. This will show you a list of available non-combat skills you can train. Since we're going to mine some ores, you'll want to click on the Mining link.

You will now see a list of available actions you perform with the Mining skill. We're going to need 5 [Copper Ore] and 5 [Tin Ore] in order to create our [Bronze Bar]. Click on the link that says Mine Copper Ore and read the instructions that appear.

You'll notice that you don't obtain an ore every time you click, this is intended. When starting to perform a new action (one that is close to your skill level), you will fail at it quite often. The higher you level your skill though, the better your odds are of succeeding. Items can also provide a nice boost to your stats, allowing you to unlock actions faster and increasing your success odds (stats on an item are added to your character's stats). An example of this is an [Iron Pickaxe].

Once you have obtained 5 [Copper Ore], go back to the Mining action list and mine yourself 5 [Tin Ore]. When you have at least 5 of each type of ore, move on to the next step.

Using Materials

It's time to smelt the ores into a [Bronze Bar] that can be used to create powerful weapons or armor. You're now going to do pretty much the exact same thing you did with Mining, except this action doesn't require any specific items equipped (unlike how Mining needed the pickaxe). You'll want to head over to the Smithing actions list and click on the Smelt Bronze Bar link and follow the instructions on the screen again.

That's it! You just learned the basics of the game and should be ready to begin your adventure. Feel free to ask for help in the chat if you're confused or can't figure something out. Make sure to read up about Energy below as well. Good luck! :D

Restoring Energy

Energy determines how many actions you're able to perform before needing to take a short break. Once you run out of Energy, you can restore it by clicking on the   Restore Energy button in the upper-right corner of the screen. Your Energy will be restored to full once you have completed the task, allowing you to continue training. There is no limit to how many times you can restore your Energy!
